"iPod Classic" 2010-05-01By
Philip N. GoingsThis is my first actual iPod after owning several cheaper MP3 players. Only thing I'm wondering is what the heck held me back for so long? Of course, this is the 7th generation and I've read that the earlier gens had some issues, but so far this thing is pretty much flawless. I love it and would recommend it highly to anyone in the market for a large-capacity MP3 player. Incidentally, my wife has a 16 gig Nano and it's just as nice as my Classic, just not as much storage. I rated the manual only 3 stars because it didn't come with one and the online one while useful seems unnecessarily repetitive. "Excelent" is mis-spelled and I don't know how to rate it so I left it blank too. Durability I haven't rated either because I've only had the thing for a month and it's hard to say how durable it is in that length of time.
"Wanted HD" 2010-04-27By
James L. FeltonI bought the iPod classic seven because I thought I saw that it had HD. My original iPod classic would not allow HD programming. I was buying high-definition programs from Apple and being told by my iPod that it wouldn't hold HD. The new iPod classic seven tells me the same thing, that it will not hold HD. Going back now to review the product specifications I see no mention of HD. I would not have bought this iPod if I hadn't thought it had HD capability. I see no difference between it and my original iPod classic.

Simply excellent, their best yet and I still prefer the classic version to all other ipod models.
"Beware of hard drive clicking sound" 2010-04-25By
Mario Villalobos (Mexico City)
I was very happy with this iPod until about 4 months after buying it, it began making loud clicking noises from the hard drive. At first they were just occasional but then they began getting more frequent and occasionally they would make the iPod stop playing for seconds. The worst was a couple of times when it didn't want to play anything anymore, for a couple of minutes. It was still under warranty, so I sent it back through the very expedient Apple online process with FedEx. It was sent back to me emptied out of all the songs I had loaded (which I was told would happen), but saying no problem had been detected. Needless to say I was very upset (and so were my friends who had heard the problem). I live in the US only part time, and I had bought it there, now I'm outside the US, loaded it again with music, and it has started making the same clicking sounds - very occasionally but this is deja vu - so I'm stuck with the problem until next time I travel to the US. If you get this problem, don't send it to the Apple repair/warranty service before you have a live person (at an actual Apple store) be witness of and certify the problem.
"All the space you need and more..." 2010-04-22By

With 160 GB of space, the new classic offers all the features of the others plus space to free yourself of all those CDs you have in your home.
The product seems to work well, as one would expect from Apple, and the support has been very good. Of all the players, and I have two different manufactures, I would recommond this one.
If you are a true music lover, this product is for you...
